Review on πŸ”Œ SwitchEasy CoverBuddy Magnetic Charging for Generation by Chase Arellano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

First time great. then DISAPPOINTMENT

I bought this tablet on 01/19/21 and I like it very much. It fits great and I've had no issues charging through the Magic Keyboard in the case. The grip when no keyboard is connected is enough for me and the tablet doesn't feel heavier. The only problem I encountered started today, March 17th. One of the contacts for connecting the Magic Keyboard fell out of the case (last photo). Luckily the keyboard magnets catch it and I didn't lose it. I'll use some super glue to hold it in place. This is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise I am very satisfied with this purchase. Edit 3/29/21: My attempt to reattach the pin with superglue failed. In addition to falling out, the tip has also broken off at the other end, making it no longer connect to the keyboard and unusable. I have contacted SwitchEasy support but have not received a response. It's a great concept, but I'll wait for something better. Less than a month after using the case, my iPad won't charge on the magic keyboard. The center pin hasn't fallen out yet, but is no longer making contact with the iPad. I contacted Coverbuddy after the first one broke and got no response. $80 wasted on a poorly designed product. The only reason I would give this 1 star is that the concept is great but it is sorely lacking in execution.
