Review on πŸ“· Fujifilm XQ1 12 Megapixel Digital Camera featuring a 3.0-Inch LCD Display (Black) by Mohammed Prude

Same sensor as the Fuji XF1 but without the flaws the XF1 is a win-win!

I was one of the few people who loved the Fujifilm XF1/Blk 12MP Digital Camera Fuji XF1 with 3" LCD (Black) and I never had a lens flaw that everyone complains about. I couldn't get used to the XF1's manual on function. As far as I can tell the XQ1 has the same sensor. It's a damn camera. Not only do I get a good bokeh effect in manual mode, but also in a simpler mode with the Pro Focus mode. You can get great shots of animals by freezing them in action as the focusing is very fast. The images are sharp, colorful and crisp. It also shoots good quality video. Great for recording in low light, I rarely need the flash.I've tried Canon's nemesis, the S110 as well as the S100, and while they are good cameras, I still prefer d ie Fuji XQ1, mainly because the user interface is easier to use. Maybe it's because I started with Fuji and it's easy for me to understand Fuji menus. Another important reason is that the Fuji simply performs better in low light - whatever Canon I've tried, low light = grainy photos. Although it's a small camera, it's quite heavy, but not heavy enough to carry around. it accompanies me every day. And while the buttons are small, they're well-placed and easy to use with your thumbs without hitting the wrong button. Despite the lack of a viewfinder, I have no trouble seeing the screen on a sunny day. A great camera for everyone, even if you don't know how to operate a camera with PASM controls on the grip, you can still achieve "almost" professional looking results with this camera. It's like a soapbox on steroids.
