Review on 🥤 Owala FreeSip 32-Ounce Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Straw - Perfect for Sports and Travel, Insulated and BPA-Free by James Cabot

I've been using this water bottle for almost 2 months and overall I'm very happy with it. It doesn't leak and keeps my drinks ice cold throughout the day. (I typically use it for flavored water or iced tea, not regular water. I only mention this because drink mix buildup can cause buildup in some water bottles.) Before this water bottle, I used Contigo auto-seal bottles, then I tried those Coleman self-sealing water bottle. The Contigo did a great job of keeping drinks cold and the auto seal feature is great BUT it was a nightmare to clean. The tiny cracks in the lid kept accumulating slime that I couldn't reach with any tools to clean properly. (I've tried everything from pipe cleaners and bottle/straw brushes to dental tools.) After years of struggling to keep my Contigo clean, I finally tried Coleman's Auto Sealant and wasn't thrilled either. The Coleman didn't stay that cold for long (stayed cold most of the day instead of staying cold all day) and after only 2 weeks the automatic sealing mechanism broke when I tried to clean it rendering it unusable. We've researched water bottles in the most absurd of ways, looking for something that's easy to clean, keeps drinks cold for a long time, and is airtight. (With 3 toddlers, securely capped drinks are an absolute must!) I've been pleasantly surprised since finding Owala. until the evening there is still ice).* The shape of the bottle is very good in the hand. The bottle has small indentations on both sides and not a perfect cylindrical shape, making it easy for you to hold and operate the bottle with one hand.* The button to open the lid works fine for one-handed drinking.* It fits in the cup holders in my cars. .*** Wide mouth and straw are VERY easy to clean! It has no moving parts or small crevices for drink mixes to fester in, so no moldy, slimy buildup! Impair your vision if you take a sip while driving. A wide straw is also very easy to care for as it is wide enough for pipe brushes or straw brushes to easily fit through. My ONLY complaint, and a small one, but worth noting, is that the lid's latch mechanism is a bit difficult to press with one hand. I often have to use my other hand to apply enough force to make the lid click to snap the water bottle back on (or press it very hard against a hard surface like a table) to close it. It's a small detail considering how happy I am with this water bottle, but if the lid were easier to close with one hand, that would be perfect. **Full disclosure, I have some laxity in my arms so this problem is probably more pronounced for me than for others. The recommendation would be to look at the prices. After ordering and receiving this from Revain, I saw the exact same model (same colors and all) for $10 less at Walmart. It was okay to pay $25 for a great water bottle that will last a long time and meet all my needs, but seeing one for $15 was a pretty big price difference. Either way, it's still a great water bottle.
