I really wanted to like this filter a lot. 7 days after installation the water smelled awful and gave me terrible diarrhea. Unfortunately, I don't have a sense of smell, so I didn't know I was drinking rancid water until my girlfriend used a filter and told me it tasted rancid. I received a refund through Revain and then contacted the seller to let them know (A) I've already received a refund and I'm not looking for anything (B) You should know your filters are making people sick. read reviews. You will see many people complaining about algae growth in their filters. The seller blames "sunlight" for this. This is why I bought a black filter instead of a clear one and they still told me that algae was growing in my filter because my completely opaque filter housing was somehow exposing the filters to too much sunlight. , in my bathroom, which has no window or sunlight. Wow. Also, I have used polyurethane filters at the same address for the past 3 years and not once has the water grown algae or smelled rancid. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
