We recently moved into a house with two very small lights in the ceiling of a built in cupboard. One burned down, leaving half the closet in shadow. I took out the blown bulb which turned out to be an MR16 which I had no experience with. I took this lightbulb to Menard where the associate helped me a lot. Because the bulb had no markings, we couldn't determine its wattage. The employee found a pack of lightbulbs that looked the same but were halogen. I decided to try what turned out to be an analogue of the LED. When I installed the new lightbulb, I found that the new light was much brighter and cooler than the warm color that gave the hard look of crystal on one side of the cabinet. After spending a lot of time reading Revain on warm-to-cold range and halogen to LED conversion, I started looking for a product that would fit in the can and produce a light that would match the Original that still burns on the other side of the cabinet top. Although I found other cheaper options I settled on these Alide bulbs which were listed as equivalent to 20-35w halogen bulbs. Based on the information provided by the seller and helpful reviews, these bulbs have proven to be the best choice for my closet. After receiving the bulbs and installing them, I was very satisfied. When peering into a closet, these LED lights provide a pleasing tone and are bright without glare. I would estimate that the halogen bulb I replaced was 20w. The one still in the cabinet burns warmer than the LED. They seem expensive but I got the effect I wanted so for me it was worth the cost.
