For many years I worked in a laboratory, measuring chemicals with weigh boats to make solutions > Now I'm retired and cooking for two instead of six. Mixtures often come in packs with servings for four or six people. I weigh the entire package and divide by two to find out how many servings are in the box (or bag) for two. I can then prepare two servings and store the rest in pouches or in the original packaging. It's great, no more food waste.
