these things work great. It only took 2 minutes to put the batteries in and use the code provided with the instructions to plug in. We have LG wall mounted AC units in our house and the remotes that came with them ended up dying and not responding to batteries. I like them better because they give you more options and easy to read current room temperature vs AC temp, time of day etc. We also use the timer option to turn it off after a few hours of nightly use. My only gripe is that they're a bit big, but you're basically holding them in a bracket on the wall, so I don't really care.
