I ordered this item because my old fridge scissors are worn out. The fridge holster was a highlight as mine was lost. The holster is not very good. The magnet is not strong enough to prevent the scissors from sliding off the door. Mine have a grainy texture, so maybe a smooth surface would be better. The scissors are heavy and I like the fact that they can be disassembled for cleaning. These scissors are quite heavy for the holder. I suspect the designer was trying to make the scissors more functional than they need to be. I have a can opener and a screwdriver. I use scissors to open tough grocery bags. Next time I need to buy this item I will choose a lighter and simpler pair of scissors. In the meantime I will try to buy a better holster magnet.
