. Like many others, I had problems with volume control whether I connected via optical or Bluetooth. This is a common problem with Samsung TVs (google it). I bought this soundbar in the belief that compatibility issues with proprietary features should be resolved with the same soundbar model. And so it was. The soundbar also gives a nice "full" sound, so I can hear the TV even at low volume. Bluetooth, like all soundbars I've seen, only works to listen to a Bluetooth device. You can't use it to make phone calls (no microphone). Bluetooth for listening works well enough though. Yes, as other reviews have mentioned, when you turn it on it will indicate what mode it is in. I don't find it disturbing. However, I would like the LEDs that show the settings to be visible on the side of the panel, not just the top. This is because I placed it in a spot where I can't see the lights from above while it's running. .Good sound quality. Excellent compatibility with Samsung TV. The "Smart” sound setting works particularly well.
