These are good little radios with good range. I bought these for my son to use with my friend or nephew and I usually have one at home so he can call me in case of an emergency. The only problem I have is that one of them doesn't hold a charge. It appears fully charged like the other 2 until I unplug it and it shuts down almost immediately. I would return them for a replacement or refund but I had them a few weeks before I even used them and they didn't get used to finding out often enough until it was too late. Also, it might be my fault that it doesn't charge; I probably overcharged it and ruined the battery because it was plugged in an hour or two longer than the others. However, before purchasing I saw other reviews that some didn't charge or hold a charge so it might just be defective. I guess I don't worry too much about that because there are 2 more working and that's enough to play with.
