The overall quality of this bowl is amazing. It feels good in the hand, the texture is shiny, it has a nice firm weight. It even makes a very pleasant sound when you tap something on it. However, it didn't keep the water warm for very long, and most surprisingly, my viking brush didn't fit in so it could soak in warm water. When I put the brush in, it either knocked over the bowl or the brush fell out due to its weighted base. That being said, if you don't soak your brush in a bowl, I think you're going to have a hard time finding a better quality bowl. I like to soak my brush so I sent this bowl back. Maybe one day I'll change the way I use my brush - and if I do, I'll definitely pick this bowl up again.
