This UGreen cable solved a major problem with intermittent audio dropouts. The last thing you think of as the cause of dropouts is your USB cable. The ASIO driver Yamaha Steinberg has reported USB errors on the Yamaha power amplifier A-S801. The very low failure rate of only a few times a month makes this issue very difficult to debug. It took a year to resolve this issue. The solution turned out to be this UGreen USB cable. In general, there are two main causes of USB audio dropouts: 1) insufficient USB line performance, 2) CPU sleep (BIOS C states, but no throttling). The USB cable is rarely suspected, but turns out to be the cause of intermittent audio dropouts. Replace your USB cable with this one from UGreen before suspecting another cause.
