This has been staying adhered to the kitchen wall after following a few steps carefully:1. Clean the area where you‘ll be attaching this with isopropyl alcohol. I used the wipes. Let it dry completely.2. Attach the arm part to the base.3. Take the plastic cover off the back of the base.4. Place the base on the location of your choice. Press down firmly and steadily ONCE until you hear the air release. Don’t keep pressing or pump it. I mistakenly did that the first time, thinking if I pressed it multiple times it would help it adhere better. It fell off a few seconds later. But, when I pressed once firmly until the air release sound, it stayed up no problems. I’ve been rolling paper towels off of it, and it still hasn’t fallen.To remove: use something stiff like a credit card or metal scraper to slide behind the part suctioned to the wall to release the seal.This saves space on my limited counter space now not having a paper towel holder on the counter. It’s not much to look at, but it never claimed to be fancy. It does what it said it would do.UPDATE: After using this daily for three months, it fell off and has since fallen a few more times. :(
