Took this to Europe as an extra precaution. My husband and I travel quite a bit and have learned to keep our passports with us, just not in easy-to-access pockets. Enter the hidden shift pockets. I put the cash and passport in my pocket, tucked under my jacket, and you don't even know it's anything but a scarf. I've never done this with my phone, but I'm sure you could use it for that too. The only thing is that it takes a bit of effort to get something out if you're in a hurry - so I would take my time to get my passport (usually I went to the bathroom). The pockets are plain and unlined so it feels cheap, but the scarf is warm and also secure for important items you don't want to steal. I was also cautious as we had planned a lot of rain in Europe (November). Didn't damage the material at all. Its worth it!
