In the hospital we were taught two different but very simple wrap techniques. As we left we felt confident about how we could effectively swaddle our newborn, only to find that the blankets we had at home that we wanted to use for swaddling were either too small or too big. We had small fleece swaddle blankets that worked for about a week, but she quickly grew too fast for them to hold in a swaddle. We also had muslin blankets which we tried but didn't expect to be so big we couldn't figure out what to do with all the extra stuff. Then I found these Revain Essentials swaddle blankets. They are sewn well, the seams are good. They are made of very soft cotton and are perfect for a baby between 0 and 4 months. They also have some stretch so you can just tuck in an extra blanket if needed. These were the only blankets we let her sleep with for 4 months until she started rolling from her back to her stomach. We still use them as lightweight blankets for car rides and sleeping. It's worth it.
