Smells almost as strong as raw food which I think is good for dogs, even my cat got caught stealing bits. I haven't noticed a difference in her fur or anything, but honestly it might be because a 4 pound sack, no matter how much she ate, only lasted a few days. I keep all her food in a plastic bag so it doesn't become airborne and the smell of dog food was so strong I can still smell it in the bag now that it's gone. My 5 year job is to feed a dog and while she was feeding him this food she kept one hand on her nose to keep it shut. So if you have a sensitive sense of smell, you might not like it, but your dog will love it!
