Bulbs work fine in Gen 1 CR-V cluster

These are T5 bulbs, ID 74. Let's see how long they last but all lights are brighter and easy to insert. Assuming they hold up well, it's 5* across the board. Right now I'm doing my best to put traces on the back of the Gen 1 CR-V cluster to mark everything as positive or negative; With the help of visual assistance AND a list of confirmed orientations, current and future owners of these vehicles will therefore have minimal downtime. You must drag the cluster ONCE for all lamp changes. I advise you to observe the following guidelines: 1) Only use these individual LED bulbs in black sockets; 2) While these bulbs will fit in the gray sockets, they are intended more for area lighting and you will need a multi-LED bulb to use them there. However, DO NOT replace ANY gray socket with an LED, leave the halogen behind the low fuel indicator in the top left corner as shown in the photo, otherwise this indicator will remain on with the LED; and 3) USE A 9V BATTERY AND CHRESLING CLAMPS FOR THE MAXIMUM SIMPLE BULB TEST TO DETERMINE WHICH SIDE TERMINALS ARE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE - then mark the negative side with a black marker to identify before installation . Note that one of the gray connectors is on the left under the white housing that houses the machine's switch indicators. For the record, to the best of my research, these bulbs are T3 bulbs and there are very few replacement options here or elsewhere, so you'll end up needing some sort of LED socket replacement. Be extremely careful to use plastic and not metal around these marks or you will be screwed as others have said. The largest connector on the instrument cluster is the T10 bulb (194) and basically just illuminates the left and center gauges. than gray (except for the gray outlet when the fuel tank is low). I advise you to do your research and choose a very reliable brand of T10 light bulbs with solid construction and design to support this lighting. This complements your sensor and can even outlast a vehicle's normally expected lifespan. My criticism is that I would like to see a polarity indication for these lamps in order to rule out speculation on the part of the customer. Unfortunately this can never happen so I just ask you to follow my suggestion of using alligator clips and a 9 volt battery for this reason. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
