These are the bee's knees.

I don't know where this saying comes from, but living in a hot climate, around 105 degrees for 5 months a year, dries out your furniture, especially valuable antiques. The typical beeswax that is sold is difficult to use. It's fantastic, it spreads like butter and you can see it sink in within days and weeks. This is similar to rehydrating plants. It's a shame I didn't discover this many years ago, it really helped me to write.
