Doesn't work at all

Based on other reviews I'm sure this doesn't happen very often but my unit was faulty. It does not read XQD or SD cards. When I first connected, I got a message that a new drive was found. As soon as I went into Windows Explorer, the device disappeared. Nothing shows up in Disk Manager either. I tried it on 4 other PCs and also on my Mac - nothing. He's dead. It looks like it shorted out just after the first plug. I will contact the seller and change the rating if necessary.
