I can think of many uses for these sturdy clear containers but I bought them specifically for the front half of my fridge's top freezer (two across, two deep). They're the perfect size with 2 inches of free vertical space and just over an inch of additional horizontal space. Oddly shaped items end up in the bin and may even stick out a bit, but still fit. Flat items that can be stored upright are behind the bins. (The upright storage of flat items like books makes them easier to remove, and the grooves on the bottom of the freezer prevent them from sliding.) Now I can completely fill the freezer without fear of avalanches. Pull out the baskets for quick rear access.
