I read a 1 star review from J Mith before ordering and suspected user error (or worse). Having received it an hour ago and sitting on my assembled stool as I type, I can now move from suspicion to certainty. A simpler installation is hard to imagine. Defective parts were packed very carefully, each part was individually wrapped for protection. They even drew dots on some of the pieces and referenced the dotted pieces in the assembly instructions to make correct assembly as easy as possible. I just followed the instructions - no problems. The screws are fine, as is the Allen key. I used a few additional manual drivers for convenience. Just follow the instructions, don't tighten everything until it's all together, then tighten one by one. To be honest I was surprised at how easy it all came together - at such a low price I was expecting some fiddling.
