So I tried these headphones along with the more expensive E3000s to see which I liked better and here's my take. very high quality for the price range. Constructed from stainless steel, the E3000 looks and feels good, is heavier and has a premium feel. The rest of the package is identical, cables, accessories in the box etc. There are additional ear pads of different sizes in the kit but I found the installed ones comfortable so I didn't try any others. Speaking of which, the rubber earcups are quite comfortable for extended listening and fit and stay in my ear with no issues. . it definitely lacked bass, and overall I think it's better for techno, electronic music, while the E3000 works for jazz, blues, etc (audiophile music). For comparison, I've heard them on my desktop with an external DAC and on my iPhone while listening to Tidal lossless music. To make listening more comfortable, I was able to turn the volume to maximum on the E3000. I attribute this to some increase in high frequencies in the E2000. As a result I returned the E2000 and left the E3000. You can't go wrong with either, but it depends on what you prefer. So if you're a music lover who prefers a flatter sound like some higher quality material the E3000 are the best headphones, if you listen more pop, electronic and like a clearer sound the E2000 is. for these Japanese headphones. Highly recommended! Pros: - Very light and comfortable to wear - High quality aluminum body, above the price range - Excellent mids - 3.5mm jack works with iPhone battery (see photo) - Easy to use phone - Overall good sounding headphones, best for Pop music, electronic music. Cons: - No volume or phone controls - Wire could be a bit better, but for $45 it's perfectly adequate - High frequencies are boosted a bit, so it sounds a little bright and tiring on long listens - Not enough bass (for my taste) - not as good as the E3000 is $10 more expensive
