Make a sturdy key ring or use it to hang tools or tie bags

A few years ago I bought some lighter weight ones to use as key rings. I've been using them for several years now and only twice have they unscrewed themselves and thrown away my keys. Indeed, my fault - I should have checked them regularly like everything else. I gave my last one away a few days ago and when I was looking for a replacement I found I paid 50 cents for the original and can get this bundle. of 100 heavier ones at 19 cents each. When I received them they all looked well made, no messy creases, no protruding wires. A bag of 100 pieces was tied tightly with a nylon band. They're a little harder to bend into a loop, but that's because they're at least 50% thicker than my old ones. The clasps twist easily, and the stiffness of the cable pushes against the clasp so it (hopefully) doesn't unwind on its own. I need to compress the buttonhole to relieve the pressure on the clasp to open. I have found them very useful for key rings, attaching luggage tags and zipping suitcases (I thread a cable through the holes in the zips). Tabs.) They're a good security tool — I remember on the Paris subway watching a tourist read a map on the wall. Meanwhile, the pickpocket was rummaging in the zip pockets of the guy's backpack (until I screamed and he ran away). I now use these loops to close my backpack when traveling. It's not as secure as a lock, but not as heavy either. But that's more than enough to deter a pickpocket, because you can't unscrew it without using force. But not so much hassle that I have a hard time opening them when I need access. But the tranquility while sightseeing is worth it. I used them to hang the broom on the wall - drilled a small hole near the end of the handle, threaded a cord loop through the hole and now I can hang the broom. on a nail or hook. These cords feel so strong that I feel safe using them to hang heavier items like power tools with a loop on the handle so they can be hung from a tool belt or wall. The cables can also be daisy chained to form longer cables which means I don't have to buy different sizes. The clasps feel just as strong or sturdy as the thinner cords I've used for years, so I'm comfortable using these cords on heavy objects (like battery-powered drills) to hang on my garage wall. I am sure I will find many uses for them and they are inexpensive. If I find that they are not as durable as they seem I will change my rating.
