Based on the reviews advice I bought 2 sizes up (I bought medium). However, my kitty is just over 2 pounds and the dress is a bit large. I don't regret it though, because she can grow into him. The dress is even more beautiful in person and I have to say that this dress runs 2 sizes too small for a dog. The dress doesn't have much volume, so it's better to be too big than too small.
