We've been looking for a long time for a beautiful bedspread that will actually cover our large double bed. We looked for 100% cotton due to the static that others can cause, but just couldn't find one that we liked that had a significant length. After reading the reviews we decided to take a chance as the price is reasonable. This bedspread is long enough but not too long and very comfortable in weight. We followed the washing instructions before use and it washes well with no noticeable shrinkage. We have a light down jacket underneath and sleep with the window open (we are in Germany without air conditioning) and slept very comfortably even in November. The sides don't touch the ground and the top and bottom are so long that we actually fold the top (the head) down. Probably better hanging on the bed without a footboard. Another reason we ordered this set is that it comes with two pads which some of the others don't have. The only downside is that a few strings had to be cut, but that's not critical. We are very happy with this purchase and can only recommend it!
