Review on Eton Grundig Satellit 750 Ultimate by Aneta Szewczyk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, more pros than cons.

I've been using it for several months and almost every day. Completely satisfied with the device. The background through the headphones is heard only when powered by the adapter. When powered by batteries or accumulators, there is no background. Looks like some voltage regulation is needed. It is possible to execute in the adapter. By ordering Eton, you will receive not only an adapter for 220 volts, but also savings in the amount of approximately 2022-2500. (See prices of online stores). Now the manufacturer has fussed and began to produce the entire model range in the same design. If earlier there were such differences as: on the Etons and Grundiks, all the adjustment knobs and the tip of the telescope were plastic, and on the Texans they were metal, now everything has leveled off. That is, the Grundig Satellite 750, Eton Satellite 750 and Tecsun 2022 are now twin brothers. My Grundig came with a 220 volt adapter and stainless steel knobs. I must say that in this form the receiver looks much more solid than with painted plastic.

Pros
  • In its price category - an excellent household receiver. Great sound, reminiscent of the old big satellites. Good sensitivity on HF, air band and VHF. A large number of necessary and convenient adjustments. Quality build, inside and out.
Cons
  • Minor improvements are required to increase the sensitivity in the LW and MW ranges, as well as the refinement of the input part of the antenna of the "Long wire" type.
