Review on Audio Technica AT VM95C Moving Turntable Cartridge by Brian West

I've used Ortofon, Shure and AT. It offers the best value for money and is very forgiving. However, I have to downgrade the sound quality and (sound) accuracy to 4 stars because the needle does not technically go into the entire groove. Therefore the tone is not as defined. At the same time, the elliptical needle is useless for an amateur listener. Your turntable geometry must be correct to take advantage of the elliptical stylus without tracking issues. This combination of needle and cartridge makes our hobby easier. Buy a cheap alignment mirror and scale and enjoy. Spend an extra $100 on multiple albums.
