Review on Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Lotion, Unscented Original – 32 Oz by Lisa Thomas

I've loved this lotion for a long time and had to order from Revain because the local stores didn't have this scent. I love coconut scented lotions and chose Alba. First, the smell is terrible! There is a tiny (very small) hint of coconut coming out of the bottle BUT once you massage the lotion into the skin the coconut smell is gone. INSTEAD it smells like plasticine! I've never smelled anything so gross for lotion. If you're looking for a pleasant coconut scent, don't be fooled. Second, this lotion is very thick and feels very uncomfortable on the skin. It waterproofs my skin and feels like a wax film on my skin. I tried using it after a shower and with wet feet to see if it would help absorb and feel different, but it doesn't. The small amount I used on my feet just lathered up like rubbing soap on my foot instead of lotion and it IS FLAKING white (see the picture I provided). The lotion has the worst dry, waxy feeling I've ever had and even my feet looked very dehydrated, worse than if I hadn't used any lotion at all. Also, my feet felt friction when walking, and I ended up wiping them off. I was really excited about the 32oz coconut scented lotion, but instead I have the plasticine waxed lotion.
