This item is great! It looks great and I prefer it to the carpet we had before. I'm a heavy girl - and I've had it for a few months now. Big people don't have to worry about it breaking. It kind of squeaks at first, but it also became audible when my much lighter roommate sat on it. After a few uses, the noise will disappear. As for the mold problem, it's actually easy to solve, don't let too much water get on it. I usually dry myself off pretty well in the shower before going out because I hate having a lot of water on the floor that I have to wipe up after showering. I've never understood why people get out of the shower wet, but to each their own. I also place a small towel on the board to soak up any water that may have dripped down. So far I haven't had any problems with casting. However, if it is a problem, you can varnish it to avoid mold or you can dry it daily. I didn't do either of those two things and it was fine as long as I just dried myself off and put the towel on the mat before going out. I had no trouble pushing it either. The carpet stays in place. So if you're not the type to heat up the floor after every shower, you'll love this rug. And even if you're one of those who drown your soil, there are things you can do to keep it from getting moldy. Everyone wins.
