Definitely a plus size. I first had a 3T so my daughter would have some space to grow up on. Got it and it was huge. I compared it to some of their other 3T shirts and there was a very big difference. Came back and got 2T. The 2T was still quite large, but handier. Thicker cotton. It hasn't decreased at all. I wish it was softer but not bad.
