I am a 50 year old woman who just started taking care of her skin this year. I am very satisfied with this product. I have normal skin at a fairly normal age. I am very active and spend a lot of time in the sea. I wanted something that didn't feel like it would just slide off like lotion sometimes does. This is ideal for those who want to feel like their skin is protected in harsh environments all day long. I live in a hot and humid climate, but I think cold weather would be fine too. I cleanse my skin then apply a light serum, then apply this hydrating gel cream and finally apply a light moisturizer on top. The face looks fresh and moisturized all day long. I also use it at night, sometimes under a night mask. I understand what other reviewers are saying about it being sticky or tacky. I asked an esthetician about this, and she said that products with such stickiness are often made with the next step layered on top. She said the sticky texture helps the next layer adhere better and both layers penetrate the skin more effectively. I like. Even coming out of the sea, my skin doesn't feel as tight, salty, and thin. It still feels hydrated and supple. I don't wear makeup, just lip gloss and mascara, so I don't know how it stays under makeup. For an extra dose of moisture outdoors during the day, I highly recommend it. My skin looks fresh and youthful all day long.
