Received quickly and washed for immediate use. It's soft and thicker than expected. There is no rustling, which is very important when trying to put your baby to sleep. We have a firm waterproof mattress that can get cold even with a sheet on. This bedspread feels very soft, plush and warm, and feels thicker than the bedspreads I have for my toddlers' beds. I've compared it to the other two we have, they're cotton and the same thickness, but they definitely feel softer.
