Works great as an A-pillar setup!
Installed in the A-pillar (windshield) of my 2015 JK. Installation wasn't very easy as a screw is pretty hard to drown in a plastic panel. Tip if you install them here: put a rag in the hole, when you loosen the ratchet screw, you don't have to remove the dash components to get it back. They appear to be very well made. I had the exact same ones on my 2012 and they have held up great for the 4 years I've had them.
