Just received today and received my first envelope in minutes! super easy to use. You have to be really careful and watch what you're doing because, as other reviewers have commented, it's pretty easy to "skip the track" and dub the next groove. (Of course if I laid it on a flat surface I probably wouldn't have this problem lol) I used a sheet of printer paper to make my first envelope and found that with the same light pressure I could use pencil and the binder along the groove worked well a couple of times to get the cut lines. (The bone binder does NOT have to make contact with the bottom of the groove to score the paper, which is why some people have trouble tearing the paper.) The board itself is fairly rigid and has foam feet to keep it in place. The packaging said it had an "enhanced" bone folder, which seems pretty solid to me, so looks like MS sorted that out. (I can even sand the edges of the tip a bit so it's not tight). I haven't had this problem. The instruction booklet with diagrams only covered a few projects: an A2 card, an A2 folded card, an A2 card sleeve, and a 4x4x2 inch box with a lid. (This will give you a general idea, which you then apply to the sizes given for additional postcard, envelope, and box/lid sizes.) The envelope guide lists sizes for the following sizes: #1, 4-strip, A2, A6 , A7 , A9 , 6 inch square and #10 and says you should reduce the length and width of the original paper by 1/8 inch to make flat card envelopes. Since some of the cards I make have dimensional embellishments, I thought that was a nice touch. The instructions attached to the inside of the "Toolbox" list the card sizes (which are the same as the envelope sizes) and the following box/lid sizes: 2x2x2, 3x3x2, 4x4x2, 4x 4x4, 5x5x3.5, 6x6x3 and 7x7x2. 5. I agree with other reviewers that this guide should not have been placed on the inside of the compartment as the writing is so small. (I can print out the dimensions and use my Xyron sticker maker to conveniently stick them on top of the lid.) You can of course use YouTube for more ideas on how to use it - I watched one that showed how to make it Accordion medallions. Given the small issues, I'd honestly put it at 4.75, but since that's not an option, I've rounded it up. My paper folding leaves a lot to be desired, so I think it will be a very handy tool, especially as I like origami.
