I am a woman of color with wavy/curly hair and I have used this product to protect my Bantu knots and braids. These bands didn't last 10 minutes before breaking. If I wanted to keep my hair intact I would have to use multiple ribbons in a braid or bantu knot. I would not recommend these tapes to anyone just because they tear so easily.
