Review on 💊 Soluble Ferrous Sulfate Heptahydrate (FeSO4·7H2O) by David Dortch

I almost hate writing this review because I'd like to keep it to myself. This stuff is AMAZING at killing moss on lawns. I have tried 4 other products that claim to kill moss. NONE worked. This thing killed the moss in 1 HOUR. I mixed 1/2 cup with 1 gallon of warm water in a garden sprayer. The more you spray the moss, the faster it will die. But even a light spray will kill the moss in about a week. But a good dose kills in about an hour. A few notes: #1. That thing stinks. Smells like rust or blood (it's iron, after all). It didn't really bother me, but my wife didn't like the smell in the kitchen where I filled the spray bottle. #2. It stains concrete, wood, pretty much anything it touches. I was careful along my concrete retaining wall so I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but where I got a little carried away near the wooden edge of my garden, the wood was stained. #3. It does NOT harm the weed. In fact, it makes it dark green. #four. Best used under the following conditions: cloudy, cool, no wind. I wouldn't apply it on a hot sunny day as it dries out before it can penetrate and kill the moss. #5. Moss will die but go nowhere. You have to rake it up and plant grass. I would also add lots of granulated lime before planting the grass to keep the moss from reappearing.
