I have a Pioneer MVH-1400NEX that I use frequently with Car Play. That seemed like a great solution as I really don't want my phone plugged in. That's why I often forget it in the car. Setup is easy and works great the first time. It appears and you connect your phone via bluetooth and everything connects. Wireless car play works great. If it works. This is the first use. This is where the problems start. When turning on the car from a cold start. The Pioneer MVH-1400NEX sees the connected gaming device in the car and then only shows a blank screen. After a bit of troubleshooting I figured out how to get there. You have to wait a bit and then go to the main menu. Then press Car Play and go back to Car Play. It works out. But you have to do it every time. Even if the machine is not fully powered on. After a full start you will get a black screen. Waiting . Then go to the main menu and then to the car game. It's nice to have wireless play with the car. But I had the latest firmware and in the end it's not a good experience. In the end I returned it. Although it seems like new cars will come with wireless car game. But I wouldn't do that with this device.
