Great book for beginners

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this book. I was looking for advanced weaves - Jens Pind, Dragonscale, that cool Caterpillar thing they make, Cyclon, or even Half Persian. Most weaves were based on Byzantine, Japanese, or helmet art. I still gave this book 4 stars because the book was very well written - it was like talking to an old friend about her passion. It's casual and chatty and contains a lot of useful information for web beginners. The photos are great too and Rebeca's guide is the best. and I bought a lot of templates. if you can't learn it from Rebeca, you can't learn it. If you are a beginner and having difficulty with weaving, you need this guide. Period. She goes through all the pros and cons of metals, which was nice even for a beginner. I felt that too much time was spent opening and closing the rings, but then again if you are a beginner you must know the importance of a perfectly closed ring. It made me feel that there is room for creativity in weaving. and the use of paint, which I tend to shy away from because I don't care, aluminum and niobium are too expensive. Also, she's confident enough to tell you where to get accessories from places other than her store, which is just great. Rebeca's superb workmanship and use of color make her pieces shine. If you are just starting out, you will stop buying rings immediately after reading this article. If you have been addicted for a long time,

Pros
  • Easy to use
