The first box was wrapped in plastic and looked normal. Connected it to my computer via the included USB-c to USB-c connector and to my TV via the HDMI connector. The TV detected the presence of an HDMI port, but did not output a signal. Tried another port, nothing. I tried a different HDMI port, after which the mouse pointer disappeared. I restarted my computer and played around with it some more. I got an image after about 15 minutes, but it wasn't anywhere near 4K or even 720p. I was picky but not good at all. Then I connected some buttons and moved the hub and the image disappeared. I played with it for another 5 minutes and decided to return it. The second box was a bit more worn and not wrapped in plastic. I opened it from the inside and looked for signs of wear. The USB-c port was not in the second box. I tried this hub and plugged it in and my mouse pointer disappeared. Rebooted to get the cursor back and again the TV noticed something was there but no signal received. Return the second one and don't try again.
