I will continue to buy these products as they are much better for the environment than regular plastic/rubber sponges that you have to change frequently when they wear out or start to smell or get very rough. It works well and after a month or two it might start to crack or get dirty then we throw it away but at least it's mostly wood. I don't know why they even have that little plastic ring because it would be nice if they got rid of it. too, but they also look way better than a colorful dirty sponge. We found a small set that had a bowl that you put the soap in and then you just leave it there and dip it in the soap as you wash. So overall the unit is nice and will be replaced every month or two if needed.
