This backpack is legal. I bought it for my work laptop and related accessories. The quality of the materials and assembly inspire confidence. High quality zippers and stitching. Perfect size for my needs (not too compact, not too bulky). My only wish is more padding around the dedicated laptop compartment. It is thinly lined on one side (against the back) but unlined on the other side (inner wall next to the main compartment). I had an old laptop bag so I put my 15" laptop in it and put both of them in the backpack's dedicated laptop compartment. Both fit well. I just feel like the extra padding makes it more secure. Otherwise no complaints. , (I haven't tested the water resistance yet.)
