Not sure - fell apart on one side.
I've been using it for a few weeks now with no problems, although it's a little wobbly. But when I got out of bed and stepped on it last night, one side collapsed; I don't think my foot landed in mid-step. I'm not injured because I have good balance, but it's not a safe move. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't use wood glue or screws to make it stronger. I've reassembled it and will use it as a stand/shelf, but wouldn't recommend it as a step stool.
