This review is of Abanen Quick Dry Velcro Watch Strap for Fenix 6/Fenix 5 22mm Ultra Light Woven Nylon. I wear it on a Garmin Forerunner 945. I bought it based on my previous (and continued) five star satisfaction with the matching strap from the same manufacturer that comes with my Garmin 245. I've had the 245 bracelet for over a year with no problems or regrets. I just received this 945 edition which is the subject of this review. (Please note that these two groupsets are not compatible) So I have to say that this group represents excellent value for money. It's infinitely adjustable, even for small wrists like mine, is extremely comfortable, and while it's even remotely similar to the 245 version, it's also very reliable. If you tighten the Torx T6 screws on the watch pins (applies to any strap) then the chance of losing a watch with this strap is almost zero. This is a very soft, durable, and comfortable strap designed for exercising, walking around the house, or even sleeping if you choose to wear a Garmin sleep monitor. For the 945 in particular, you will need a pair of Torx T6 (or T6H) screwdrivers to remove the original watch strap. It's ridiculously easy. I have two Wiha tools made in Germany and am very happy with this solution. Tools do not belong to this group. After removing the OEM strap and replacing the pins, this strap is re-wrapped around the watch pin to secure the low profile Velcro. It's very simple, very unobtrusive, and doesn't have any distracting surfaces or interfaces. The Garmin 245 has a quick release system that differs from the 945. Therefore, the band is connected a little differently on the 245. The 945 has a larger stylus secured by Torx T6 sockets and supports what Garmin calls QuickFit. This strap does not utilize the QuickFit system, but instead simply wraps around a pin and locks back onto itself using the Velcro area provided on the strap. The 945 strap does not use the Garmin QuickFit system. It's still easy enough to remove the band (without using a torx screwdriver) and attach another QuickFit band. But I'd be willing to pay a little more for the convenience of the QuickFit mounts on this strap so I can switch between this one and another, fancier one for different occasions. But honestly, it's such a small thing that I hesitate to even mention it. If you are looking for a comfortable, durable, reliable, affordable, and fully adjustable soft nylon strap for your Forefunner 945 (or similar with a 22mm Torx pin) then you will likely be very satisfied with this one. I had a similar strap on my 245 and am very glad I was able to find one for my 945 as well. I am very happy.
