Review on 🕓 Casio 18mm Black Resin Strap by Ashley Farrington

This strap was purchased to replace the Casio SGW-500H 100M watch strap. I realized this band wasn't an exact replacement but ordered it anyway. Other sources have pointed to this group as an acceptable replacement, so I was hopeful. The side with the buckle is present. This did not happen on the belt side. For some reason the strap attachment between the pen and the watch has a build up of material. Before I knew it, I had damaged one of the holes on the clock in my futile attempts to install it. Fortunately, that wasn't enough to prevent the needle from getting stuck in the watch after I fixed the issue. Using a pocket knife, I had to cut off some of the material that was preventing me from attaching the strap to the watch. Through trial and error I finally removed enough material for the pin to fit the holes and it has held up for 3 days now. I'm happy the group is working for me but disappointed that I had to do this kind of setup. If I had the same problem with the buckle side of the belt I would blame misinformation from other sources, but since the buckle side snapped I blame quality control. It's a good backup group though, and if I wanted to take my time I'd probably return it for a backup. Unfortunately, replacement bands for this watch are hard to come by and I was keen to fix the broken band.
