I have received so many compliments on this scarf, it was a worthwhile purchase although it quickly became my favorite due to the design and length and with regular wear of the scarf began to cause fabric. Hand washing in cold water very gently was fine, but one day it went into the washing machine and the stars faded from shiny to just 'there' on the main body of the fabric - still shiny on the ends for some reason. Anyway, cute, and if you don't wear it every chilly day, it should last you a long time!
