I've been looking for a good Bluetooth PTT mic to use in Zello for over a year but had to give up due to the cost. When I saw the price for it I thought I'd give it a try. It's great to be able to leave your phone on the charger and be able to walk around the room and do other things without having to touch your phone while talking on Zello or DVSwitch. Largely "changed the rules of the game". Here are my observations after about 5 weeks of ownership: 1) The Inrico microphone has a good "weight", probably due to the huge 2000mA battery. (which is detachable) 2) It has a few user programmable buttons on the top, but these are reserved for Inrico radios. 3) The transmission sound sounds good. Received sound is clear but with a narrow frequency range tuned to the human voice. If you're expecting it to sound as good as the speaker in your expensive phone, you might be disappointed. (there is a 3.5mm plug at the top for connecting an amplified speaker or headphones) 4) The range is 30ft (normal Bluetooth range) but I get a good 40ft or more on my Galaxy S9. 5) The battery life is excellent! I use it off and on for several hours a day and the battery indicator (in bluetooth settings) never drops below 80%. (I left it on all weekend and the battery was still at 50%) 6) The DVSwitch app (ham radio related app) was recently updated to allow the use of this particular PTT mic. If you are someone who uses the DVSwitch app, this is great news as many have been asking for it. 7) I don't particularly like the charging port. The port cover is rigid, and the USB port itself is snug and requires little force to insert or remove the charging cable. That's why I ordered an excellent charger. 8) This model (B01) only works with Android devices on Zello. (There is another model for iPhone) Update 7/8/21: Well I've been using this mic every day for 5 months and haven't had any problems. Battery life remains the same after multiple charge cycles. When my friends at Zello saw this mic, they bought it too. Everyone is happy with the microphone. I'll try to get back to you in 5-6 months. Update 11/23/21: Well I'm back and it's been almost 5 months since my last review. I use this mic almost every day and have had no problems so far. The battery life is like new. It usually takes about a week for the battery to drop from 100% to 70-80%. Several of my Zello friends have bought this microphone and they are all satisfied. If you buy this microphone, I recommend buying a charger as well. Happy Thanksgiving!
