If you read the reviews before buying, you already know that the elastic loops in the cases of this brand are controversial. And I will not disagree with that assessment. Separate loops for each pin would probably be a better design overall. However, the current design isn't as bad as the worst reviews suggest. I bought this storage box for a set of 36 Derwent Inktense pens and found that 3 pens fit in the loops fairly easily. Four pins per loop was more difficult, but not as problematic as I expected; I carefully hand stretched the loops prior to use. I was able to fit the entire set in this case and still have a loop for multiple Blender Pens. With a little stretch and 4 per loop, I could definitely fit 48 Derwent pencils in this case, and Derwent is a bit thicker than some brands. But three per loop is probably the perfect amount for ease of removal and storage. The build quality is very good, with quality materials and nice, even stitching. Buttons on zippers feel comfortable. At least one reviewer mentions that it's a bit thick when closed, and I agree with that, but overall it's a fairly compact handheld that feels like a good shelter for your expensive markers or pens. I will buy a second one in a different color for a different set of pencils, I have and I recommend it to anyone who wants organized transport for their art tools, with the caveat that you may need to get taller to accommodate your pencils. easy.
