I've tried using a flat iron to give my hair a wavy look in the past but never got used to it. This styling stick solved that problem! i won't lie It also took me a while to master this wand. I would recommend anyone using this type of wand for the first time to find a YouTube video and watch how to position the wand properly. This will help you a lot! After watching a few videos I checked it out. I have pretty short hair with a twist. This wand handled the longer fronts quite well, but where the hair is much shorter at the back, it didn't frizz very much, even though my hair reached the wand. So in my experience this works best on medium length hair (not sure on very long hair) but not quite on short hair. The gauntlet that comes with this wand is useful, but follow the instructions! The glove is not protective enough to hang onto a stick! It offers just enough protection so you don't burn yourself if you bang your hand on the wand. This wand has amazing warmth. For thick hair, holding the wand for about 5-6 seconds is enough. This allows you to curl your hair faster than other methods. What a wonderful wand!
