I bought this charger thinking I could use it to charge my car battery. nope It's a 'smart' charger that seems smart enough to determine if I'm worthy of a charge. I can't. When the car battery I bought last November was too weak to start my car, this 'smart' charger decided the battery was also too weak to charge, so it politely declined. I had a dead battery and a charger that refused to charge it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the only reason to buy a charger: to charge the battery? I mean, what good is a charger if it doesn't charge the battery? 40 years ago my dad bought a charger and it still works like magic to this day: plug it in, connect the cable to the battery and voila! The battery charges in a few hours. It even has an analog ammeter that shows charge rate and lasted longer than it did. If I lived near my mum I would ride the bike to borrow because for all its smart abilities, high frequency gigs, graphics, battery protection, 72 hour timer, etc. I have this for: batteries charged. The return window is closed so I can't even enjoy sending it back.
