Okay, I rarely write long reviews and I want to write the first skin care system I've found that really works for me (using all the products available on Revain) - b/c I rejoice (and tear off the work)! I'm 27 and have combination skin. I think my breakouts are hormonal with pimples appearing in the center of my forehead and chin, on/around my jaw and on the sides of my face above my eyebrows. Also, my nose was a land mine of blackheads and huge pores and I had really bad dark circles around my eyes. All in all, if you don't have one of those vibrating silicone facial brushes, stop what you're doing and get one. Sephora has very expensive ones, but I took a chance on Ailaiya's $10 fake Revain and I love it. It holds up very well and can break / I can literally buy it 20 times before it costs the same as the Foreo Luna 2 which for some reason is $200 (HOW!). I have never used a silicone facial brush (I had my hair for about 2 weeks and then it got moldy so never again) but this one is amazing. My $10 guy gets the job done and has literally every feature I can think of that a vibrating silicone facial brush could need: uneven (various thicknesses), silicone, vibrating, comes with a charging cable (just imagine make sure you covered the charging hole). the back with a silicone plug when you wash your face to prevent water from entering). Aside from the scrub (when I first used it I could literally see where it had open pores on my nose), it's great because it's fun to use. I wash my face more thoroughly/regularly than I've ever done in my life and that in itself is a miracle because I'm a lazy person. I usually wet my face with water and then drop a coin-sized drop. Put some cleanser on top and go to town to make sure the cleanser lathers and gets into every nook and cranny around my nose and along the bottom of my chin. I wash my face with this little guy for about a minute. Note: My mom taught me that when washing your face/applying lotion, you should always try to move upwards to fight gravity. I don't know how scientific this is (doesn't seem...) but my mom looks a lot younger than she really is so I just trust her. : Desert Essence Cleanser (sold by SportingDoc) COST: $9. This toner is amazing. It's 100% natural and claims to be organic (although honestly that's just a plus because I'm sure I've put so many weird chemicals on my face while trying different cleansers in the past). It combines soap with a range of different oils - tea tree, coconut, olive, lavender and spearmint - and extracts - chamomile, goldenseal, avapuha, pemphigus. It smells really good and a bit earthy. The tea tree it contains is great because it's naturally antimicrobial/antifungal and anti-inflammatory, which basically treats what acne is: inflamed pores filled with bacteria. I got these at the same time as the silicone brush, but I can say that this is the first time my face is literally *squeaky clean* after washing. Also, I literally no longer have breakouts. Appears to be acne free. And my blackheads have practically disappeared from my nose and my pores have become clean and tightened. Some cleaners cause breakouts when you switch to them, but I haven't found this to be the case with this one. Drop a coin-sized cleaner onto your small electric toothbrush. This soap doesn't lather as much as other detergents I've used (maybe it's because I use an electronic brush?). When I wash, it usually starts to foam up after about 15 seconds, and then when I keep washing, any bubbles that appeared disappear after about 45 seconds. My skin feels *so* clear and fresh afterwards. Warning: DO NOT GET IN EYES. It will suck. it will burn However, since we are mostly adults here with quite developed motor skills, this can be avoided relatively easily. Eyes (sold by NaturalBeautyIc): COST: $20 After rinsing my face thoroughly with warm water and patting it dry, I move on to the serum. I'm sure there are videos on YouTube showing how to properly apply serums, but I honestly have no idea. I just take a drop or two (you don't need much, you can use a little), place it in the palm of your hand, and then apply to your face. Then I rub the serum in an *upward* motion (against gravity) until I've covered my entire face. I leave it on my face for about a minute so it absorbs into my skin (I usually brush my teeth at this time in the morning to be #effective). Vitamin C is great for your skin as it is needed to build collagen and potentially prevent/treat UV damage. This serum also contains Hyaluronic Acid (helps to bind moisture to the skin and keeps it moist and hydrated), Vitamin E (helps reduce the appearance of acne scars/discoloration), Aloe and other beneficial ingredients. the darkness of some of my longstanding acne scars, which is crazy because I've literally had them for years. Overall it has really improved my skin too. My pores are MUCH smaller, my skin is very hydrated and I've also noticed that the redness around my jaw is kept to a minimum. Bag Handling (sold by SunBlessed Botanicals): COST: $23 so I use that but it's a bit pricey. If you're already using the vitamin C serum above, you're already reaping the benefits of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid (although it does contain amino acids, licorice, and a few other substances). However, I found this eye gel especially helps with dark circles/puffiness/wrinkles and feels more focused. I noticed an immediate improvement in the firmness of the skin under my eyes. My eye area was less puffy and the places where I could see wrinkles were filled in. I'm fairly young so I don't have a lot of wrinkles under my eyes yet, but that seems to have stopped them from getting deeper. For dark circles, this product is more suitable for continuous improvement. I'm sure there will always be darkness under my eyes because I'm a human being, and a human being who sleeps very little. It works all the time for dark circles, but it's not like you apply it once and it's gone. Although this will lighten the darkness everywhere, I found that the lightening was most noticeable on the outside/middle of my eye at first, and gradually lightened the skin under my eye closer to my nose (where dark circles are darkest). As soon as I let my face serum dry (or, if I'm impatient, towards the end of the time I'm letting it dry), I take a very small amount of this substance and apply it under my eyes. The packaging says you probably shouldn't rub it in, so I don't try, but I do sometimes because I'm a creature of habit too.โโโโโโโโโโโโโ Day Moisturizer Cream : L 'Oreal Paris Futur-e Moisturizer Facial Day Lotion SPF 15, Normal to Dry Skin, 4.0 oz (sold by Revain.com Services, Inc.) COST: $9. I was looking for a good daytime moisturizer. for some time. This stuff is great because it has SPF, which is really the most important thing I want in a moisturizer, and it has the added benefit of vitamin E. It's really light and not greasy at all so it doesn't clog pores at all or feels heavy. thick on your face (I hate when you put on a moisturizer and you can feel it on you for the rest of the day). It's also great because it gives my face an almost matte look and minimizes shine after serums and the like instead of enhancing it. It also makes my skin soft like a baby's. For example, my face has become the softest and most supple it has ever been. I usually just squirt with a pump and apply after my face serum and eye serum. I often get impatient so I apply it while the eye serum is still hardening, but that's okay. Also, I make sure to rub my moisturizer up instead of down to counteract gravity. Acid (Sold by Flawless. Younger. Perfect), COST: $13 Retinol is one of the hottest items in facial skin care, so I decided to give it a try. It contains retinol and hyaluronic acid as well as jojoba, green tea, B5 and shea butter. It's definitely heavier (although not greasy!) than the L'Oreal Futur-e moisturizer (although this moisturizer is so light that most moisturizers will probably be heavier), but that's okay because I use this cream with retinol only use at night. Once you put it on it's crazy because you can really feel it working. To be honest, sometimes it did irritate my skin or sting a little afterwards, but not to the point that my face was visibly irritated in the morning. It feels like it tightens my skin and pores and makes my skin tighter (e.g. I could see small wrinkles on the bridge of my nose before but they are gone) โโโ โโโโโโ โ โโโTOTAL: $51 for cleanser, serum, day and night moisturizer and facial brush. The prices are really fair and you get a good amount of product at a time which would take me at least 4 months if not more. That's about $15 a month for four great skincare products, or 42 cents a day. Also add $10 for a vibrating silicone brush which again YOU MUST GET because THIS IS A GAME CHANGE and that's $61 I'm very willing to pay and honestly a lot cheaper/better than products I used to have gotten from Clinique or bought from a pharmacy that has never worked as well as this system. Anyway I literally spent a whole day writing this so I hope it helps. Also, I have not received a dime or free products from any of these companies like some reviewers do. I'm just a happy customer with the best skin of her life! For your health!
